Client. FASA

Illustration Goals

One of my first commissions as Dark Grail was for RPG legends FASA. Such great people to work for, especially Andi. The brief was descriptive but open stylistically and i got supplied with some great character descriptions. Was a blast to do.

Adrian Bradford

Client. Angela Blythe

Illustration Goals

Angela wanted a series of covers that reflected the subject matter and the tongue in cheek humour of her novels. They are really fun read and anyone that lives in Saddleworth will no doubt recognise the locations. These are just examples from the series of six books

Adrian Bradford

Client. Terrakore

Illustration Goals

Damn. This was some nice work. 4 pieces of art for a series of shirts for Dean at Terrakore. Edgy pulp/exploitation movie styled images.

Adrian Bradford

Client. PS PUBLISHING

Illustration Goals

This piece was a cover illustration for Dan Weatherer’s The Tainted Isle. This collection of short supernatural stories was set in Victorian England at the time of the industrial revolution. The main protagonist sets off to investigate folklore, myths and legends. Very cool stories i enjoyed them a lot.

Adrian Bradford

Client. PS Publishing

Illustration Goals

Mark Morris was hero of mine from when i first read Toady (search it out folks) because it’s such a buzz when you find people that are obviously have the same interests as you. The lovely people at PS Publishing got in touch to produce a piece for a collection of Marks short stories.

Adrian Bradford

Client. PS Publishing

Illustration Goals

PS Publishing wanted a portrait styled image for the cover of this book by Paul Witcover. Rather than use a painterly style i went for the pencil. Really therapeutic to do this one. The endpaper art was also done in pencil.

Adrian Bradford

Client. FASA

Illustration Goals

More character study art for FASA’s RPG Earthdawn. Just great fun to do.

Adrian Bradford

Client. Donkeystone Brewing Co

Illustration Goals

I have been known to drink the occasional craft beer (cough) so producing art for can labels is a pretty cool task. The whole industry is so creative it makes for a great platform to push the boundaries. These are just 2 samples of the numerous illustrations i’ve done for good folks at Donkeystone Brewing Co.

CROWLEY – The Lovecraft Investigations

Client. Julian Simpson

Illustration Goals

Talk about a dream job. I have been listening to The Lovecraft Investigations since it was first launched by the BBC. Screenwriter and podcast series creator reached out due to an illustration i did as an homage to his ‘Pleasant Green’ universe. An absolute honour and a privilege to add to the creation of the next season.
